The creature base is more compact and fits better on crowded skirmish boards. If your model is a war machine or chariot with a crew of two or more, choose the 100x60mm. For a single large quadruped or flying creature, the 80x50mm is a tighter fit that still meets envelope rules.
• 80mm Round Monster Base vs 80x50mm Creature Base: The 80mm round offers a symmetrical footprint ideal for elephants, monsters, or centrepiece models that look best on a circular base. The 80x50mm rectangle gives a longer silhouette that suits four-legged or winged poses. Trade-off: round bases are easier to pivot and measure from any direction, while rectangular bases make front-facing arc and charge angles clearer. Pick the round base for models with no obvious facing, and the rectangle for those with a defined front.
• Round Bases Pack vs individual specialist bases: The Round Bases pack gives you 63 bases across three common sizes for a low per-base cost, ideal for building out a standard warband.
