I was worried the thin MDF would be fragile, but the cart’s lattice sides actually feel sturdy once glued. The miniature wheels roll smoothly, and it painted up nicely with just a wash. A charming little piece for adding feudal atmosphere to a diorama.

The assembly instructions were clear enough that I finished it in one evening. The wooden roof pieces have a nice texture that takes paint really well.

The mdf pieces fit together surprisingly snugly, making the assembly feel precise rather than frustrating. I’m pleased with how the delicate cart structure evokes old Japan once it’s built.
