The 6.35mm border holds my 25mm-based troops snugly without being too tight, and the MDF feels sturdy enough for tournament transport. Only took a few minutes to glue together, and the separate base options let me customize the look.

Was a bit worried the MDF would warp during glue-up, but the upper frame and lower base are machined dead flat. All seven 25mm bases popped in and out cleanly with the 1/4" border giving just the right amount of grip. Solid purchase for ranking up a unit.
