Finally my old 20mm skirmish units line up perfectly with my newer 25mm armies, no more fiddly measuring on the table. The MDF is sturdy and the holes are cut cleanly, so the figures snap in without wobble. Exactly what I needed for the 5x4 layout.

The 20mm figures sit dead-center in the 25mm slots, so the frontage math works out exactly as described for ranked play. The MDF is sturdy enough that the 5x4 tray doesn’t flex when I pick it up by one corner, which is my usual stress test.

The holes line up perfectly so my 20mm minis sit dead-center with the right 25mm frontage, no wobble or shifting mid-game. MDF feels sturdy enough to survive a few drops, and the 5x2 layout gives me exactly the footprint I needed for unit cohesion.
