The 1/4" frame is exactly flush with my bases, no rocking or gaps when I slot them in. Assembly took maybe five minutes with wood glue and the two-piece design locks together snugly. Really solid for keeping a unit of six cavalry in formation.

Got the tray for my 25x50mm cavalry bases and the MDF frame holds them snugly without wobbling. I just wish the base thickness was a bit more consistent across the set, but it works fine for gaming movement.
