Getting the gun team off the base to pull a casualty is such a relief, and the two-layer design makes it feel solid without being bulky. The 2mm MDF frame lines up perfectly with the 25mm bases, so it sits flush on the table.

The greyboard lower section gives it a nice solid feel while keeping the base low enough to blend right into the table. I've already swapped out a couple of casualties during a game, and it works exactly as intended.

The 2mm MDF top layer sits flush with the 1mm greyboard bottom, so the whole base stays nice and low on the table. It's sturdy enough to hold the gun crew without any wobble, and lifting a casualty off mid-game is a breeze.
