I was worried the spacing would be too tight, but the 1/2-inch gap between cutouts lets my cavalry rank up cleanly without any bases overlapping. The MDF frame feels sturdy enough to handle repeated movement across the table, and the 1/4-inch trim keeps everything locked in place during a skirmish.

The cutouts are perfectly sized for my 25x50mm bases, and the 1/2" spacing keeps them aligned for fast movement during a game. I love how the MDF frame and base sandwich the figures securely without wobbling.
