I needed a tray that could handle my heavy metal cavalry bases, and the MDF upper frame with lower base is sturdy without being overly thick. The 1/4" trim keeps everything looking tidy while providing enough room to grab the models.

The cutouts line up perfectly with my 25x50mm bases, and the 1/2" spacing between them makes sliding the tray under the unit feel snug without any wobble. The 1/4" trim on the edge gives just enough lip to grab when picking the whole skirmish line up mid-game.

The 1/4" trim means my cavalry bases fit flush without any wobble, and the 12.7mm spacing between cutouts keeps the unit looking tight on the table. Took me a minute to pick the right frame height, but once it was set, everything clicked together solidly.
