I was worried the 1/2 inch spacing would be too tight for my rank-and-file, but it actually fits perfectly and keeps them from bumping into each other during movement. The MDF feels sturdy enough for regular use without being overly heavy.

The tray’s thickness is perfect for the 50mm bases, and the half-inch spacing means no fiddling to get units lined up. I’ve used it in three games now and it hasn’t warped or flexed even with heavy models on top.

The cutouts are spaced a clean half-inch apart, so my 50mm bases sit snug without rattling, and the lower base keeps everything flat on the table. I was a bit worried about the MDF warping, but it’s stayed true through a few games already.
