Category: laser-cut wooden scale model

The invention of the Chuck Wagon is attributed to Texas Ranger Charles Goodnight in 1866. Using an army surplus wagon, Goodnight added a 'Chuck Box' with drawers and shelves for storage space and a hinged lid to provide a flat cooking surface. The resulting wagon was used extensively by cattle drivers and pioneers travelling to and from the frontier.

Robert ★★★★★

The joinery on the drawers and shelves is remarkably tight for a laser-cut kit, everything fit together without any sanding. I assembled it over a rainy weekend and the historical details, like the proper chuck box layout, make it a fun little piece for my desk.

Ruby ★★★★★

I was pleasantly surprised by how precise the laser-cut pieces fit together—no sanding needed for the tongue-and-groove joints. The included miniature cast-iron stove really brings the chuck box setup to life.

Emma J. ★★★★★

The tiny drawers on the chuck box actually slide, which is a nice detail for a laser-cut kit. Assembly took a few evenings but the fit was precise and the historical instructions were a fun read.
