Took my 50mm-based skirmish units out for their first game on this tray and they clicked in snug without any wobble. The separate base and frame design makes swapping out damaged models quick, too.

The 1/4" frame border is exactly what I needed to keep my infantry snug during transport. Slides together cleanly with no sanding required, and the MDF feels sturdy enough for tournament play.

Having assembled my next wargaming squad, I can confirm the 1/4" frame border offers a satisfying, precise fit for each 50mm base, really speeding up unit movement. The MDF feels solid and the two-piece design keeps everything snug during even the most aggressive tabletop pushes.
