I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy the MDF frame feels once it's assembled with the lower base—no wobble at all. The 1/4" border is just enough to keep my standard 30x30mm bases from sliding off during movement.

Finally, a movement tray where the 1/4" frame border is actually consistent all the way around—no wobble when I pick it up. The MDF layers fit together perfectly, and the option to choose height for the frame and base means my 30mm miniatures don't scrape the edges.

The MDF sandwich fits my 30mm bases perfectly with that 6.35mm border on each side—no more minis sliding around mid-game. Assembly was quick and the frame height options let me match my other trays exactly.
