The frame lip is exactly the 6.35mm per side I needed for my 30x60mm bases, and the MDF layers fit together snugly without glue warping. Took a few minutes to assemble all eight, but the laser-cut edges are clean and consistent.

The two-piece design is what sold me—the upper frame and lower base snap together so tightly that my 30x60mm models stay perfectly in rank, even after a bumpy car ride to the game store. The 1/4 inch border gives just enough lip to feel secure without hiding the base edges.

Finally, a movement tray that fits my 30x60mm bases perfectly without wobbling. The 1/4" frame border keeps everything snug during play, and the MDF construction feels solid enough for regular use. I've already ordered a second one for my other cavalry unit.
