The MDF frame and base fit together snugly, and the 1/4-inch border holds my 30x30mm bases perfectly. I went with the taller frame option, which gives my minis just the right amount of stability during transport. Exactly what I needed for keeping my units organized.

The 1/4" border on each side gives the tray a clean, finished look that feels sturdier than my old plastic ones, and the separate upper frame and lower base let me magnetize the underside without messing up the top surface. Assembled in about ten minutes with wood glue, and my whole unit stands tigh

I picked the 1/4-inch border height mostly for looks, and it’s exactly as described—the MDF pieces are sturdy and the layers align cleanly. Only minor gripe is the lower base feels a bit thin, but for the price it does the job well.
