The lower base is a solid sheet, not just a frame, so my minis sit flush and won't tip over when I slide the whole tray across the table. Assembly took a few minutes with wood glue, but the MDF pieces lined up cleanly with no warping. Exactly what I needed to run my round-base guys in a ranked forma

Fits my 40mm round bases perfectly out of the box, and the MDF is sturdy enough to survive a few drops. Wish the frame height options were listed more clearly, but the tray itself holds models in a ranked formation securely.
