The 1/4" trim around each cutout makes a huge difference—my 50mm bases sit snugly without any wobble, even when I pick the whole tray up mid-game. I chose the taller frame height and the MDF feels sturdy, not flimsy like some other trays I've tried.

Assembling this took me about ten minutes, and the frame sits flush enough that my models don't wobble when I pick the whole tray up. The 1/2" gaps between the 50mm cutouts keep the unit looking tight while still letting me slide a base out if I need to swap a casualty.

The spacing between bases is exactly right, so my 50mm minis sit snugly without rubbing, and the 6.35mm trim keeps the whole unit feeling solid. Perfect for moving a squad around the table in one go.
