The two-piece design is perfect for my heavy cavalry, the 1/4 inch border holds them securely without any wobble during movement. Slapped it together in under five minutes with no issues.

I was a bit skeptical about MDF trays holding up during transport, but the 1/4-inch frame is sturdier than I expected and keeps my cavalry models locked in place perfectly.

The magnets in the base click into place with a satisfying snap, and the 6.35mm border keeps my cavalry models snug without any wobble during transport. Assembly took me about five minutes, and the MDF frame sits flush against the base for a clean, sturdy look on the tabletop.
