The frame height is exactly right to keep my 20mm bases snug without being too tight to remove. Assembly was straightforward and the MDF feels sturdy enough for regular game use.

Finally got my horde ranked up properly without minis sliding everywhere. The 1/4" frame lip grips the 20mm bases just right, and choosing the taller frame height means my spears don't catch on each other during movement. Two layers of MDF fit together snugly, no wobble even after a few games.
