The frame sits flush against the base with no wobble, and the 1/2" spacing between each cutout keeps my infantry perfectly aligned for quick unit moves. The MDF feels sturdy enough for repeated tabletop use, and the lower base adds just the right support without adding bulk.

The half-inch spacing between cutouts is perfect for my 20mm skirmish squads—everything lines up cleanly without being fiddly. I chose the taller frame to match my base depth and the MDF fits together so snugly that nothing rattles around mid-game.

I was worried about my 20mm-based miniatures sliding around, but the cutouts here grip them perfectly. The 1/2 inch spacing between slots is ideal for quick movement during a game.
