I've been using this tray for my 40mm base units and the MDF frame feels sturdy enough to handle regular tabletop movement. The 1/4 inch border holds the models securely without any wobble during play.

I was worried the magnets might not hold, but these trays keep my 40mm base units perfectly aligned even when I pick the whole tray up. The 1/4-inch border gives just enough edge to feel secure without crowding the models.

The fit is snug and the MDF frame sits flush against the base, making it easy to slide my 40mm models into place without wobbling. I appreciate how the 1/4 inch border keeps them secure during transport, a huge time-saver for army deployment.
