The steam engine detail on this model is incredibly sharp for the scale, it genuinely looks like it belongs in a museum case. I spent a satisfying evening dry-brushing the iron hull plates to bring out the rivet lines.

The riveted hull sections click together with a satisfying snap, and the turret actually rotates freely once assembled. I spent a rainy afternoon putting it together and the wood deck planks look surprisingly crisp even unpainted.

The hull plates align so precisely that the ironclad’s shape locks in before the glue fully dries, and the deck seams are nearly invisible once painted. I spent an evening dry-fitting the turret and it rotates smooth enough to show off at the table.
