I was worried the cavalry bases would be too tall for this tray, but the 1/4-inch border holds them perfectly stable during transport. The MDF feels sturdy enough for regular wargaming use without any warping.

The base and frame fit together snugly, no wobble at all, and my heavy cavalry models slide right into the slots. It's a solid solution for moving a big block of knights across the table.
