The cutouts are exactly 1/2" apart, so my models line up perfectly for unit coherency. The MDF frame is sturdy enough that it doesn't flex when I pick the whole tray up.

The cutouts sit exactly 1/2" apart, so my 25mm units slide in and out cleanly without any wobble mid-game. The MDF frame has a nice solid weight to it, and the half-inch frame height keeps everything flush with the bases.

I expected a bit of assembly, but the frame and base clicked together perfectly in less than a minute. The 1/2-inch spacing between cutouts gives my skirmish units a natural, spread-out look on the table.
