My cavalry fits snugly into the lower base without any gaps, and the MDF feels sturdy enough for heavy use on the tabletop. I've already used it in two games and the frame hasn't warped at all.

The 1/4" border is just the right depth to keep my cavalry snug without making it a pain to grab individual models. Assembling the MDF frame onto the base was straightforward, and it feels sturdy enough for tournament handling.

Finally, a movement tray that doesn't flex under the weight of my heavy cavalry. The MDF construction feels solid, and the 1/4-inch border keeps my 50x75mm bases snug without any wobble. This adds a nice, clean look to my unit on the tabletop.
