15mm Rome Insula 1 - Full-colour

The level of detail on this kit is fantastic—the crumbling facades and exposed brickwork really sell the ancient Roman street feel. I spent a good hour just studying the individual window frames and shop fronts before even thinking about painting.

I was pleasantly surprised by how cleanly the tiny brickwork and windows printed on the side walls come together, really brings that Subura vibe to life. The assembly was straightforward for a first-time scale modeler like me, and the end result looks convincing on my shelf.

I put this together over the weekend and the full-colour print really brings the Subura to life, especially the tavern signs and bake shop details. The fire damage on the lower floors adds a gritty authenticity I didn’t expect from a 15mm kit.
