Wargames Atlantic - Boucliers des Âges Sombres

Picked up a box for my Viking warband and the 14mm size is perfect for 28mm figures. The flat surface around the boss made it easy to add my own painted designs without any weird curves. Stacks of them in the box, too, so I won't run out mid-project.

Finally, shields that actually match across the whole warband—these 14mm rounds are consistent in shape and the backs are clean enough that gluing them to arms took no fuss. My spearmen look properly uniform now, and the central boss detail gives them enough character without being fiddly to paint.

The flat surface around the central boss made painting these shields a breeze—I got a clean heraldry design on the first try. The plastic is sturdy enough that they don't warp when glued to my figures, and 14mm is just right for a uniform warband look.
