Quick answer
The Wargames Atlantic Barons' War Second Edition Deluxe Set bundles the core rulebook with both the Mounted Knights and Serjeants sprues, offering a complete medieval wargame starter at a discount compared to buying separately.
What's in the box and why it matters
This exclusive set from Wargames Atlantic gives you everything needed to lead a retinue on the medieval battlefield. It includes the Barons' War Second Edition rulebook, plus plastic sprues for Mounted Knights and Serjeants. The bundle discount makes it more affordable than purchasing each component individually.
The medieval world of Barons' War focuses on small-scale skirmishes between rival lords, rebellions, and castle sieges. Having both mounted and foot troops in one box lets you field a balanced force right away.
Who should consider this set
This deluxe set is ideal for players who want a complete starting point for Barons' War without hunting for separate rulebooks and miniatures. If you already own the core rules or prefer a different faction, the individual kits might suit you better.
The set does not include terrain, paints, or assembly tools. You will need to supply those separately. Sarissa Precision offers laser-cut terrain sets that pair well with 28mm medieval wargames.
Decision rules for the Barons' War Deluxe Set
- Rule 1: Start with the rules: If you do not own the Barons' War Second Edition rulebook, this set is the most cost-effective way to get it along with miniatures. The bundle discount makes it cheaper than buying the book and sprues separately.
- Rule 2: Check your miniature needs: The set includes plastic sprues for Mounted Knights and Serjeants. These are multipart kits that allow you to build a variety of poses and equipment options. If you already have enough infantry or cavalry, consider buying only the missing component.
- Rule 3: Consider your terrain and accessories: The deluxe set does not include terrain, dice, or measuring tools. For a complete gaming experience, you will need a medieval-themed table. Sarissa Precision's laser-cut terrain sets are designed to complement 28mm wargames like Barons' War. Plan your terrain purchase alongside the miniatures to avoid delays.
