Wargames Atlantic - Conquistadors

I've been looking for a set of conquistadors with that weathered, campaign-worn look, and the variety of poses in this kit really sells the desperate scramble for fortune. The sculpted details on the armor and matchlock muskets are crisp enough to take a wash without losing definition.

The box is packed with enough bits to equip a full squad of down-on-their-luck mercenaries, and the detail on the helmets and breastplates is crisp even before painting. I’ve been staring at the sprues for an hour just planning color schemes, and the poses have plenty of dynamic action for the table

I was pleasantly surprised by how many different head options come in the box—plenty of variety to make each conquistador look distinct. The plastic is crisp and easy to work with, taking glue and paint really well. Definitely worth picking up for a historical project.
