The shelter on this sampan kit is beautifully detailed, with just the right scale for the wooden hull. I spent a relaxing evening carefully fitting the tiny planks, and the way it sits on the waterline feels genuinely authentic.

The wooden planks have a lovely, subtle grain that really brings the little shelter to life. I've already started imagining it as a tiny floating home on a river diorama.

The flat-bottom design sits perfectly stable on my desk while I work on it, and the little shelter’s roof pieces fit together cleanly without any sanding needed. I’ve built a few boat kits before and this one’s scale feels just right for a river diorama.
