The 2mm MDF is sturdy enough that I don't worry about warping, and the six group bases line up cleanly on the table for a proper skirmish formation. They're a solid upgrade over cardboard, and the laser-cut edges are smooth right out of the pack.

The six group bases fit together perfectly with minimal sanding needed at the edges. I've already glued a few units onto them and the flat surface holds superglue really well.
