The lower base snaps into place perfectly, saving me from fiddling with magnets. My Bretonnian cavalry fits snugly but still lifts out easily when needed.

The 1/4" MDF frame sits flush against the bases, so no wobble when I shuffle the unit across the table. Assembly took maybe five minutes with wood glue, and the separate lower base means I can swap out damaged trays without re-cutting anything.

My cavalry fits perfectly with just enough room for basing details, and I really appreciate that I could select the frame height to match my army's look. The MDF feels sturdy without being overly heavy.
