I needed a way to move my skirmish squads efficiently without them sliding around, and the 1/2 inch spacing between cutouts makes positioning clean and quick. The MDF frame is sturdy enough that I can pick up the whole tray without bases popping out during a game.

The frame clamps down on my 25mm bases snugly enough that nothing rattles during transport, and the 1/2" gaps make grabbing individual models a breeze mid-game. Assembly took maybe five minutes with wood glue, and it's held up through three matches already.

The 1/2" spacing between cutouts is perfect for my skirmish units, keeping everything aligned without being fiddly. The MDF frame sits flush with the bases so minis don't rock or tilt mid-game. Took me two minutes to glue together, and it's already holding up better than plastic trays I've used.
