The magnets sit flush in the routed slots, so my infantry units slide on and off without any snagging. Solid construction, no wobble when moving the whole tray across the table.

The 1/4" frame lip sits just high enough to keep models snug without blocking their bases, and the MDF layers fit together with zero wobble. I've been using it for a few games now and the whole tray stays flat on the table, which is exactly what I wanted.

Was a bit worried about warping with MDF, but the base and frame fit together snugly with no gaps. Models sit on the 30mm squares perfectly without any wobble, even after some heavy handling during games.
