Just unboxed this and the MDF frame slots into the base perfectly with zero sanding needed. It holds my 40mm bases securely even when tilted, and the 1/4-inch border adds nice clean lines on the tabletop.

The tray pieces fit together precisely with no gaps, and the 1/4 inch border holds my 40mm bases securely without wobble. Painting it was quick since the MDF surface takes primer nicely.

The MDF frame sits flush and sturdy with no wobble, and the 1/4-inch border gives just enough room to grip the tray when moving a unit. I've already used it in a few games and the whole block slides as one piece on the tabletop.
